The Sacagawea Dollar was launched in the year 2000 with a great deal of excitement. It represented a brand new circulating dollar coin designed by the United States Mint specifically to address the issues with previous modern circulating dollar coin series. Despite their best efforts and a good deal of promotion, the coins never circulated widely. The series was modified starting in the year 2009 to include an annually rotating reverse design and renamed the Native American Dollar series.

This site will provide a guide to the entire Sacagawea Dollar series with images of coins for each year and details of the release. Overall series information such as design, coin specifications, and mintage are also included. We hope this site will be of interest for both beginning and advanced collectors of the series.
